My Everyday Makeup Look

I’ve recently discovered that I really suck at writing introductions to my blog posts! However I ran a poll to see what you wanted to see on my blog next and this was one of the top answers so without further ado here is my “everyday” makeup look.

First I start out with the Makeup Revolution Aqua Priming Spray, This product is so easy to use and dries quickly into a great base to start your makeup on.

Next I primed my eyelids with the Makeup Revolution Focus and Fix eye primer which I actually received in their 12 Days of Christmas gift set, I regularly find myself using this over my Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin due to the fact that Sin has a slight sparkle to it so is not the best when wanting to achieve a matte eyeshadow look!

I almost always apply my eyeshadow before foundation so that any fall out is easily wiped away an covered up once i’m finished, To apply my eyeshadow I use my Real Techniques shadow brushes from their original and Bold Metals collection (You may notice a trend here). For my most common eyeshadow look at the moment, I take my Urban Decay Ultimate Naked Basics pallet and use a mixture of Faith and Lockout on the outer part of my eyelids and in my crease, then mixing H102 Pearl and E124 Copper from Makeup Obsession and apply this to the middle of my eyelids. This is where I leave my eyeshadow at the moment and move onto my foundation!

To apply my foundation I use a large stippling brush from Primark and then blend it in with the real techniques sponge.

The foundation I’ve been using the moment is the MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NC10 which I find can sometimes look a bit to dark for me, but that could just be me because most of the time I really like the colour match. If i was to say something bad about this foundation is that it smells a bit like paint, which nobody wants! This foundation is on its last legs so I need to pick up a new foundation to replace it so if anyone has any recommendations let me know in the comments. After foundation I use the Collection Lasting Perfection on any redness, and under my eyes to carve out the shape of my eyeshadow properly, I then set all of this with the stay matte translucent powder.

Moving back to my eyes I use my Miss Sporty liquid eyeliner to create a flick then apply NYX’s badunkadunk mascara, which I actually used to hate as it made my lashes SO clumpy but I’ve now managed to get it to apply the way I want it!

With my eyes complete my next step is do my eyebrows! For my eyebrows I take the Revolution HD Brows pallet that I also got in the 12 Days of Christmas gift set. Out of this pallet I take the lightest shade of pomade/gel and apply it with the Bold Metals angled brush, since I only use the one thing out this pallet I could just use a pomade but oh well!

To finish my face off I next, contour, blush and highlight.

Taking my Sleek FaceForm Pallet in Light I apply the contour colour with the Real Techniques Sculpting Brush under my cheek bones then take the Duo Fiber Face Brush and apply the blush from this pallet. I love this brush for applying blush as it allows such a light application and since I’m not a fan of a strong blush this is perfect for me!

For today’s highlight I’m using Makeup Obsession H112 Lightning this left me with such a beautiful glow, however my most frequently used highlight is MAC’s lightscapade which I love so much!

Lastly for lips, I would normally go for MAC’s Viva Glam II however I just bought a NYX Lip Lingerie in Teddy this is a much darker lip colour than I would normally choose but I think I might actually like it?? however the formula isn’t my favorite..

and there we have it, my completed “Everyday” makeup look, I do tend to change up my makeup as much a I can but this is the kind of look (with exception to the dark lips) that i’d go for if I didn’t have the time to sit and play around!

Let me know in the comments what your favorite eyeshadow colours are and what you think of this look!

Thank you guys for reading to the end, and always showing your support,

love Danielle x

I struggle with intros too! I always feel like such a parrot giving the same opening again and again but I can also appreciate my readers might not want to jump straight in to the post, first world problems for me 😂
